Republican Party Taken Over By The Lunatic Fringe?

Politico has revealed an RNC manipulative fundraising document which preys on people's baser instincts in a PowerPoint presentation. The document was left at a Florida hotel where Republicans gathered Feb.18th and discussed strategies for potential campaign donors.
The Republican National Committee plans to raise money this election cycle through an aggressive campaign capitalizing on "fear" as a motivation to give.... again. This time fear of President Obama.
DNC spokesman Brad Woodhouse stated "If you had any doubt, any doubt whatsoever, that the Republican Party has been taken over by the fear-mongering lunatic fringe, those doubts were erased today."
Woodhouse added, "Republicans across the country have cheered on crowds where these very images appeared, they've encouraged and perpetuated scandalous lies about the President and his plans. And, from calling for secession to condoning violence against government officials, they have sunk to new and unbelievable lows."
The RNC has raised the level of hate to an extreme. This vacuous platform relies on the all too familiar "scare tactics" further polarizing the American people and belongs in the same category as the "birther" and "death panel" arguments. Do FLORIDA TODAY readers agree?

Southern Poverty Law Center has documented a dramatic rise in hate groups since Obama election and I'm astounded at the emails I receive from people who I would think know better -- including local doctors (!) whose politics evidently have severed their frontal lobes.
I am appalled at the state of the Union. This is why I am in another country and am in the process of relocating. I love being a member of the U.S., but I cannot contibute to the thugs who govern this nation without regard to the people who live here.
Where I am moving I will have heath care, no home taxes for 8 years, after that they will be about $400 a year. The food is locally grown and the beach is a 10 minute walk. No malls, no fast cars, not 800 channels on the TV, but people are friendly and get together for coffee and chat.
They will not put me though some hellish procedure to live here. I have yet to see a murder or child abduction on the news. In fact, the medication I have been on I have cut in half, I don´t seem to need it here.
My U.S. could be this country. But the powerful need to give up their total control and people need to want to live a simplier life. Being here and watching, it seems to work.
Why dont we just rewind 50 or so years and allow these bigots,homophobes and racist to perpetuate all over again.The TEAHEADS are nothing but high school dropouts with one tooth flapping in the wind and holes in the bottom of the home on wheels they live in.Go dunk your bags in the cesspool you create and who will you call on to bail you out.W is laughing all the way to the bank

I was a guest in the Melbourne area for the month of Feb. I was shocked by the comments on the MLB radio made about our President, Speaker of the House and the leader of the Senate. Where has the respect gone for the office and the person holding the office. To call Nancy Pelosi "Nazi Pelosi" over and over shows a level of hatred that I am not used to seeing. I was not a fan of President Bush (34) at the end of his term. I voted for him 2X and was upset at the policies he was following at the end of his term. However, I never disrespected him or his office.
I am embarrassed with the current state of the Republican Party. If the current radical approach is not changed we will never gain the younger voters we so desperately need for the party to grow.
Please MLB change your radio attitude or I will take my vacation dollars elsewhere.
Re-enact the FAIRNESS DOCTRINE where all broadcast relating to politics have to have at least two sides broadcast.

Rubio’s $130 for a ritzy haircut, $1,000 to have a family car serviced, and almost $3,000 to rent a car in Miami, where Rubio lives, is a TEABAGGER scandal for the Republican who is becoming well-liked across the state for his anti-tax and anti-large government spending image.

Dorworth, a 30-something newcomer to the Legislature, has an outstanding judgment worth $2.7 million against him on a land deal gone wrong, had his driver’s license suspended for insurance nonpayment and has a habit of neglecting to pay tolls on Central Florida roadways

The so-called lunatic fringe is NOT representative of the Republicans I know. Maybe they are what the local wingnuts now call the "Old Guard" but my friends are pretty much horrified at the type of thing the RNC (and others) condone as OK campaigning.
Don't tar them all with the same brush...you wouldn't want the Republicans to assume all Democrats are the same, would you?
BTW I went to the first local tea party but never went to the rest. I can tell you this, though: About half of the people at Wickham Park pavilion that day were NOT Republicans. There were a lot of Independents and more than a few Democrats in the non-Republican half of the crowd.

RNC humiliated the very people backing them. Laughing behind their backs knowing they can use false scare tactics according to the amount that they can collect from them.
That's not the worst part, the worst part is that their lies are keeping people from the truth about the Pres. Obama's policies and how they do actually and will actually benefit the middle class.
Maybe these lies and humiliations will bring people to study, read and think for themselves and realize the democrats are only trying to help get rid of the mess the republicans made, while Bush was in office.
